The  DLD StoryDLD-installer200

DLD is a family owned and operated company committed to sales and service. DLD was founded in Ina City, Nagano Prefecture, by entrepreneur Yoichiro Mitsui in 1984.  The original product was the importation, sale and installation of wood stoves and chimneys.  Since 1980 DLD has installed more than 6,000 stoves and it remains a core part of the business today. After the initial success in the stove business DLD began to search for high-quality specialty products for the Japanese market. The DLD strategy has been to extensively research and evaluate each product for the Japanese market. Durability, installation, maintenance, quality and the manufacturers themselves are carefully scrutinized before we commit to sell a product.  In every case we have visited the manufacturers facilities and continue to do so.  Loewen Windows came on-board in 1994. Morkaskog wood flooring and Saltillo tiles were selected in 1999.  in 2001, after many months working with the engineering staff at Simpson Duravent, we began importing DuraTech, our most recent product line.  Providing Japanese language brochures and installation manuals is an essential part of the services we offer.
Working from our three locations in Japan our crews provide on the spot installation or warrantee service for the products we sell.

DLD opened its office in Washington State in 1999.  General manager, Stephen Rhodes, has 23 years of experience in the residential building industry and over 10 years of experience in the Japanese market.  Before moving to Washington State, Mr. Rhodes spent two years as a manager in the Ina City office.                                                                          crew600
