DLD is a family owned and operated company committed to sales and service. DLD was founded in Ina City, Nagano Prefecture, by entrepreneur Yoichiro Mitsui in 1984. The original product was the importation, sale and installation of wood stoves and chimneys, and it remains a core part of the business today.  After the initial success in the stove business DLD began to search for other high-quality specialty products for the Japanese market. Durability, installation, maintenance, quality and the manufacturers themselves are carefully scrutinized before we commit to sell a product.

DLD opened its US office in 1999.  General manager, Stephen Rhodes, has 23 years of experience in the residential building industry and 18 years of experience in the Japanese market.

DLD has 50 employees and operates from 6 locations in Japan and one in the US.
